My Problem
My iPad had the ghost touching problem, where it just started freaking out and opening apps without being touched. My research pointed to a digitizer problem. I also had a small cracked screen area.
My Fix
I had mixed results. Eventually I fixed it. Getting the original screen off with all that adhesive was no joke. I also cracked my replacement screen trying to install the home button and had to order another. The home button still doesn't respond as well as the original. But I have a functioning iPad again! So I'll consider it a win.
My Advice
Definitely order the replacement assy that has the adhesive and home button pre-installed. A razor blade and a blow dryer were my main tools used to remove the screen.
