My Problem
The battery no longer held charge and needed to be replaced... but my computer was out of warranty and apple wanted to send the computer away for a $500 full scan and replacement of broken parts, which was cost prohibitive.

My Advice
Anyone trying to do this should know that the hardest phase is trying to unstick the old battery. The glue is tough, and 3 hours of the repair were just trying to pry the battery up safely but forcefully. Pretty tricky.
