Working great, but had to replace camera

My Problem

I had dropped my phone and cracked the screen.

My Fix

The repair went well, and the screen/cables were easy to install. However, it did not work properly after start-up, and I was only able to get my phone to boot up into iOS after I had exchanged the front-facing camera and microphone component from my old, cracked front panel into the new one. The guide did not make it clear whether this was a required step.
