My Problem
Repairing the speaker myself was less than paying the deductible on my phone insurance.
My Fix
The repair went fairly smoothly. The instructions were clear, concise, and well-documented. It took a bit longer than estimated, but that had to do more with my retentiveness on keeping track of all the parts and screws!
My Advice
My advice would be:
1. Jump in and repair your device yourself. You can do this!
2. Be patient. Set aside time for the repair so you're not rushed.
3. Have a system for keeping track of all the small parts.
