My Problem

So the battery was draining way to fast and even though I could upgrade, why spend $700 for a new phone when I could fix the current one for $50 or less. note: have a back/up plan for that just-in-case-the-adhesive-strip-breaks-off moment. My Fix

Special note: have a back/up plan for that just-in-case-the-adhesive-strip-breaks-off moment. Have some dental floss or a heating pad to warm up the back side of the phone to remove the battery from the phone. As some of the users have noted, if you break the battery, you will have issues. I used that knowledge and fear to ensure that the battery didn't break. Overall, the repair took two hours because one of the tapes broke off beneath the battery. Ugh! Once the battery was out, installing the new battery and putting the phone back together was easy.

My Advice

One bit of advice I found from others was to remove the phone vibrator. Gives you just a little mores space to work with. Recommend getting the iFixIt iOpener.
