My Problem
The jack plug in my 30Gb IPod video became loose with the years and, though at first everything worked well, then stopped hearing from one headphone and eventually from neither.
My Fix
Bought the 'headphone jack & hold button', installed it easy enough (the replacement of the old hardware with the new one could've taken me 15 minutes at the most) and my 5 year old iphone is up and running like new!!
My Advice
Unless you're all thumbs, its easy as pie
