First time buying from IFixit and I am happy.

My Problem

Experienced a lot of file issues with the mac and unexpected freezing up. I tried to wipe and restore the hard drive but it would not format successfully.

My Fix

The IFixIt instructions did not show the same laptop case bottom as I had, but I was able to figure out the components. The images showed a split bottom case but the bottom I had was one piece. After dissembling the bottom of the case the inside components were not exactly the same either, but similar enough that it wasn't a problem. The IFixIt instructions showed a process of removing the speaker, sub-woofer and optical drive that was not necessary in my case.

Once I was done with the cable replacement I was able to format the hard drive and reinstall the OS successfully and it has been working great since.
