My Problem
My iPod Video 30 GB has been through it. I've replaced four batteries and two click wheels in addition to disassembling it to dry after getting rain soaked on my motorcycle more times than I can count. In 2012, when in the process of replacing my fifth battery, the battery connection broke off of the logic board, I figured it was time to let go and I stuffed it in a drawer.
For no good reason, I decided to get it "back on the road" recently.
My Fix
A logic board and battery later, it's back up and running as if nothing ever happened. The hard drive image and everything was intact. These are great products and it's nice to have somewhere to go for reliable parts.
My Advice
BE CAREFUL WITH THE LOGIC BOARD BATTERY CONNECTION. It's in a tough to reach spot and you need to pull it straight out to avoid bending it and fatiguing the connector. Everything else is easy.
