My Problem
There were what appeared to be electrical problems with my old screen. The colors were off and there was visible grid that was showing up.
My Fix
The repair was super easy (I bought the tool kit as well, which was definitely necessary). Just took the phone apart, swapped in the new screen, put it back together, and it worked perfectly as soon as I turned it on.
My Advice
Be careful with all of those tiny connectors! Nothing bad happened for me, but I could imagine pressing too hard or forcing anything could cause some problems.
When you're opening the screen, pull it apart just slightly with the suction cup. Then wedge the spudger stick into the crack that opens up to pop it apart a little more.
