Battery adhesive is a beast.

My Problem

The battery on my iPhone 6 was failing. It would regularly be down to 20% by Noon. OR, it would show 50% and then the phone would just shut off.

My Fix

The repair went well overall. HOWEVER, the Phillips screwdriver in the fix kit is the wrong size. It is too large.

My Advice

Take your time and be patient. The adhesive that holds the battery in is a real beast. I couldn't remove it by just stretching it out - I had to use heat. I do not own the iOpener, but I did have another heat pack that I used. In the end, I had to use that to heat the adhesive to get it to release. And I had to use the plastic cards to SLOWLY and CAREFULLY work the battery free of the adhesive. This step alone took 30 minutes.
