The iPad 3 screen was cracked to heck and back.

Mostly flawlessly.
My Advice
I wish I had been wearing gloves when handling the LCD panel. I was careful not to touch it with my fingers... But I managed to put a great palm print on there. The sun is your friend. That iOpener... While neat in theory... Is not effective. I put the iPad in a pillowcase and in the back yard for half an hour. Luckily I live in Las Vegas and it is July so after heating I was able to peel the digitizer back with my hands after I made a small gap. Lastly, I didn't insert the cables for the digitizer deep enough into the ports. The touch was non functional until I really seated them well. Make sure the silver stripes on the cable are no longer visible when the cable is inserted.
