My Problem
The old battery was weak. It drained quickly and charged slowly.
My Fix
Other than brief confusion between the tiny screws (Philips or Apple) caused by haste, the repair went as advertised.
My Advice
Add a stationary magnifying glass to the required tools.

Full disclosure: Before retirement I spent nearly thirty years repairing and teaching about Apple products. So this repair was not daunting for me. It was simple and the toolkit supplied by iFixit was a great idea.
