My Problem
There were sporadic audio problems with earbuds. The last replacement battery also didn't hold a charge very well, so I swapped it out to no avail. Same issue with the new battery. I guess that's the nature of the iPhone 3GS.

It went quite well.
My Advice
In the last segment of the repair video it might be helpful to mention that the Headphone Jack Assembly ribbon needs to be bent and shaped where the white markings are, and the adhesive covers removed carefully or one at a time. Also the contacts for the volume control and the on/off switch perhaps deserve an explanation. I could figure it out, but a brief explanation of what needs to happen would have been helpful.
