My Problem
Yhe Yellow Light of Death reared its head while I was enjoying the scenic route in GTA3. I almost had kittens. And I ordered the kit.
My Fix
It took about two hours but went pretty smoothly. The guide pics were a bit defferent from my console but it wasn't difficult to follow. In the end, I was able to remove the disc (thank pancakes!) and the console is working for the most part. It still freezes every once in a while after a couple of hours of play but it works!
My Advice
Take your time and take pictures of screw placement as you go. The last 15 minutes of re-assembly was spent on trying to figure out the placement of the last two long screws, which was not too fun.
