How to replace the battery in your iPhone 5s

Moderate

My Problem

The iPhone would reach about 55% of remaining power, and then shut off. It would then not restart, flashing the 'No Power' icon.

I tried recalibrating, and eventually came to the conclusion that I needed to replace the battery

My Fix

The repair was easy enough - little bit fiddly, but the magnetic screwdrivers provided in the kit were very helpful. I immediately broke the adhesive tabs: Very glad I bought the iOpener - most of the time was spend using the pry tool to scrape off semi-melted adhesive to get the old battery out.

My Advice

Read the instructions through FIRST, and take your time. Be careful to keep track of what came from where: There was a step where you have to keep track of 4 different screws, of such similar length as to be indistinguishable. The guide said, however that mixing these up would damage the phone.

That's good advice I'm about to do one and glad I got the extra couple pointers... It's just to bad that the guys who write the "step by step instructions" don't always put in EVERY single step. I know that a lot of that stuff is just basic stuff to some or even most people but not everybody thinks like that. Thanks again keep these comments coming I'm pretty sure I'm not the only who could use a extra how-to pieces of advice.
