My Problem
The original battery was so low in "health" that it began shutting the computer off sporadically at charge levels lower than 50% - the computer was no longer reliable unless it was powered through the AC adapter.
My Fix
Your battery worked very well, starting off at around 30% charge and showing 99% health. There was a noticeable increase in speed - booting and opening applications.
My Advice
Beware of Java: A Java update came up almost immediately after boot-up, and I simply reacted to update Java - this may have led to several applications not opening or crashing. I have no real way of substantiating this, but I am now very hesitant about updating Java.
