Lightning connector was bad (short) - so just replaced it.

My Advice
For a tech this is easy - and even for a novice, if you follow the video and be patient, you should be fine. I think my only issue with IFIXIT is the cost of the parts - they are a bit higher... but I know I can depend on them and customer service if there is an issue..
