My Problem

We were trying to upgrade the RAM and the Hard Drive

My Fix

The hardware went in smooth as you would want. NO Issues! We started to download the old operating system and the screen went from a gray with what looked like a schematic of a RAM chip to totally black. The Optical Reader eat the disk and would not give it back. As we learned from the Apple store the logic board just gave up the ghost. It was nothing that we or the installed hardware did to kill this poor devil, it was just time. The Lap book was a 2007 and did a great job while it lasted. We are now using the new RAM and Hard Drive on other Mac's. I would recommend ifixit to anyone for the speed and quality of their product.

My Advice

Some times its better to let the devil die.
