My Problem
The computer is a brand new 27" iMac. It didn't need fixing, I was not happy with the speed of the Internal 1TB mechanical drive. I got a good deal on it because I didn't get the Fusion drive. I have also heard that Apple is ripping customers off with a super high-priced Fusion drive that only has about 64GB of flash.
My Fix
The iMac Opening Tool worked flawlessly. I doubt I could have opened the iMac otherwise. I secured for a very reasonable price, a 1TB SSD drive and replaced the mechanical 1TB drive. I also used a 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" adapter. Now the computer works like lightning. It boots in about 15 seconds.
My Advice
The iFixit teardown video was very helpful. I'm pretty good with computer hardware and had no difficulty in opening the iMac and replacing the drive.
