Replaced a shattered ipad screen thanks to my dang kids.

My Problem

The ipad was dropped face down and the screen cracked into about 6 large pieces and 6723 tiny ones.

My Fix

The repair instructions were great except that when you have a craked screen it's impossible to simply run the picks around the edge. You have to repeat the step of getting the lifting tool between the screen and bezel for each large piece. Then at some point I used the tweezers supplied in the kit to remove those 6723 tiny piece of glass from the adhesive around the edge.

My Advice

The ribbon cables for the LCD and digitizer take more force to insert than you will expect. Also, the LCD did not come on at first boot. I had to hard reset it for the LCD to power up.
