My Problem
Battery in the Macbook Pro is down to 50 minutes of life after 3 years.
My Fix
My family expressed their consternation and my wife elucidated her lack of confidence as I flipped over her MacBook Pro. "What are you doing?" they asked in alarm as I opened my new toolkit from FixIt. "I'm changing the battery," I told them cooly. There was much concern about a ruined computer, statements about leaving this to the professionals, and other sentiments expressed. Nonetheless, in 10 minutes the Macbook Pro was powering up with a brand new battery, still at 60% out of the box. The family realized the confidence they should have had all along. The dad was impressed with much better build quality in a Mac than any other laptop.
