My Problem
Son dropped the ipad mini and broke the outer glass. It was cheaper to replace the glass then to buy a new ipad.
My Fix
The repair went ok. It took a while to get the glass to loosen up. I ended up breaking the glass more and it made getting the suction cup to work properly even with the use of clear packing tape. This is a pretty hard repair. I have experience taking phones and laptops,a nd gaming systems apart and this one was hard. Hopfully I never have to do this repair again.
My Advice
Don't pull too hard on the suction cup. The rest of the old glass will shatter more. Also make sure you take all the protective plastic coverings off the new glass. I didn't notice that there was one on the inside of the glass and I forgot to remove it. Now my wife has bubbles on the inside of the new glass and I am not remving the new glass to fix. I
