My Problem
The kit was a much cheaper solution than buying a new iPad.
My Fix
The repair went great until the ribbon cables were attached and the screen and replacement glass had to be placed back into position. Having the button and front panel ribbons next to each other made it very difficult to insert the screws for the screen and position the ribbon cables correctly while installing the screen.
My Advice
Be careful when removing the ribbon cables. The instructions say to flip up the retaining flap and I didn't quite understand how to do it correctly and broke the flap off and had a really hard time putting it back on while installing the new front panel ribbon cable. A bit more detailed set of pictures in the replacement instructions would have really helped.
