Moderate

My Problem

Cracked screen and old battery required an update to make the phone usable for another family member.

My Fix

Went off without a hitch, took about 40 minutes to read, digest, and perform the changes. Make sure you read the important facts, like that the battery can only be pried out from 3 locations safely. Don't be in a hurry or you will break your phone.

My Advice

Exactly as your techs described it, but I gotta second the "Geez those screws are TINY!" statement. Take your time, read the steps BEFORE you try to fix them so you understand each step, as there are TINY screws that go in only certain places, and they're not all alike. Make sure you know which ones go where. Take notes as you remove screws and keep them arranged in a way so you can put them back in the reverse of the way you took them out. Smooth, constant, steady pressure when removing the screen or the battery is VERY important. Don't force them, just pull and wait for the adhesive to release.
