My Problem
In an attempt to have me join the 21st century, my wife gave me her iphone to use instead of my flipphone as she upgraded to a new one. The battery didn't keep a charge and I hate to throw things away if they can be repaired. Having sort of rescued an ipod Nano that went through the wash with one of your fixit kits, I decided to give this repair a try.
My Fix
I tend to be meticulous so the repair took a bit longer than the projected completion time. Reconnecting #3 was a bit of a bugaboo. The replacement battery seems to hold its charge and other functions work. Success!
My Advice
Read reviews of others. The tips such as using a magnetic pad to hold the tiny screws were helpful.
