My Problem

After excitedly replacing my hard drive, I noticed my laptop was not identifying said hard drive! I was terrified the drive was broken or that I accidentally shocked it to death (even though I was clad in ESD safe stuff). Trying not to have a mental breakdown, I examined everything near the hard drive only to discover the cable connecting it to the logic board had a slight rip in it!

My Fix

After ordering the replacement cable and spudger, I easily replaced it, delicately. The cable has been working great :) Thanks iFixit!

My Advice

Advice to everyone: be gentle with that hard drive cable. Treat it like a pretty butterfly.
