My Problem

I had dropped my phone so many times (without a case because I'm a dummy) that the screen was not working. On top of that, the glass on the screen had dislodged from everything else, so taking the screen off was quite the task. Another issues I had, which I think may have been because of the state of disrepair of my screen, was the green opener snapped on one end, which was disappointing. Luckily, both ends have a similar opening tool on them, so that problem was a non-issue.

My Fix

I would give it a 7/10 (8/10 with rice). Most of the problems were things that could have been avoided, though, nothing against the product or the instructions. First, and I cannot stress this enough, make sure you have an adequate work space. I was working on my desk, which isn't all that big, and keeping track of all the screws was a real pain. Also, lighting was sometimes an issue as I only had my desk lamp and ceiling fan light. Both avoidable.

The instructions were very thorough and walked through the process quite nicely. Another struggle I had (again, completely my fault) was thinking I knew what I was doing. I would see some screws and think - yep, that is the next step. Then I would end up confusing myself because I jumped ahead 2 steps without even knowing it. Follow the instructions if this is your first time, the iPhone is an intricate minx that needs to be treated like an elegant lady. The from start to finish, it probably took me 45 minutes, but it probably should have taken an hour if I would have been more diligent in following the instructions.

My Advice

Take your time, follow the videos/instructions, have ample work space/lighting, and don't be hungover. The last one is crucial.
