How to replace your iPhone 5 battery

15 minutes - 1 hour

Moderate

My Problem

Battery was starting to go, so I bought this kit and replaced it.

My Fix

It took a lot longer than the 2 minutes some say. Like others before, the batter is stuck on there real good. I changed it at work, but if I was back home, I would have gotten a hair dryer and heated the back up a bit to loosen the glue. Total it probably took me 30 minutes from start to finish.

My Advice

Heat the back of the phone up with hair dryer first to loosen the glue. If your screen doesn't fit correctly after you've installed the new battery go back and make sure there are no cables in the way. It took me an extra 10 minutes trying to get my screen flush again, just be patient.
