Success even for someone who has never seen the inside of a laptop!

My Problem

My dog knocked my laptop off the arm of the couch, causing the screen to connect with the edge of the coffee table, cracking it and breaking the display screen.

My Fix

All was well for the most part. I was surprised at how easy it was. It took about 25 minutes total.

My Advice

Some key takeaways: (1) do NOT lose any of the screws from taking the back case off - those things have wings I swear. (2) Use the correct screwdriver for the correct screw and be careful not to strip out the screws. (You can buy replacements on Amazon - I had to do that. They were inexpensive.) (3) The hinges on the new screen would absolutely NOT bend without needle nose pliers. (4) Enjoy a glass of wine when finished and brag about yourself for a job well done.
