My Problem
One day a thunderstorm appeared suddenly. My Macbook Pro was plugged in and then the electricity went out and the thunder zapped my laptop. Thank goodness it just fried my battery and nothing else was harm. I was being lazy and cheap to buy a surge protector. Lesson learned.
My Fix
Replacing the battery was quick and simple. It probably took me less than 5 minutes to replace it.
My Advice
If you don't have the right tools to open your laptop, you should definitely buy the kit that's offered. I didn't need to and I also didn't buy that stick everyone said they needed to wiggle the plug out. It will probably be easier to buy one. I had no desire to spend a little extra when I knew I could take it off on my own.
