My Problem

I owned one Nexus 7 (first gen 2012) and it stopped working, would not go past the boot screen. A friend gave me his Nexus 7 (2013) and life was happy again until I upgraded to Lollipop. Then I had 2 Nexus with the same issue.

I decided to fix it because after looking at 7" tablet reviews, Nexus was still the best one. The fix was cheap and I was confident I could do it successfully.

My Fix

The repair went fine. I got a boot screen, but then it stopped working. I took all the screws out to make sure all my cables were connected correctly. The camera cable was a bit crooked. I removed it and plugged it again. It Worked!

I am so happy with the ease of the repair that I am going to fix the Nexus 2012 as soon as the motherboard becomes available.

My Advice

Make sure all your cables are connected correctly and do not be ashamed to look at the guides.
