Who knew I could fix a computer?

My Problem

Well, the first problem was that my battery had been screaming for a replacement for months. Unplugged, I could get an hour out of it. So I ordered a battery and tools from iFixIt. But when it rains, it pours, so as I waited for my delivery, my hard drive crashed. I bought a new hard drive from elsewhere. Thankfully, the hard drive repair used the same tools as the battery and there was a Guide ready to go.

My Fix

The repair went great! I was really proud of myself by the end. It took maybe 30 minutes in total. The slowest part was unscrewing the teeny tiny laptop screws. But after that was done and the screws were safely secured, the rest was really easy and straight forward.

My Advice

This may not have been the most complicated of technical feats, but it's nice to know that things like fixing a computer aren't as difficult as they seem.
