MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Early 2011 Battery Replacement

Moderate

My Problem

The MacBook wouldn't power on and when plugged into the charger, the charger was green and the battery indicator light would blink green but no workie... If you removed the battery, it worked... A quick google search. IFixIt popped up first and said "Here's how to replace the battery and order this!" Ordered battery along with the Tri-Point Y1 Screwdriver and received it quickly

My Fix

Took off bottom of MBP, used Y1 screwdriver to remove the 3 screws holding in the battery... inserted new battery, used said screwdriver to reinsert previously removed screws... reattached bottom of MBP. Hit power button and then ARMAGEDDON AND THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!

Just kidding, MBP turned on, battery charged. *MAGIC*

My Advice

Order the Y1 Screwdriver, or else you'll screw up the screws when removing the battery...
