My Problem
My daughter decided to test the laws of gravity with her iPhone 4s.
My Fix
The repair took a long time - my eyes aren't what they used to be, and those screws are SMALL! The iFixIt guide was essential, though, marvelously thorough, and I was confident the entire time that I'd come through the other side unscathed. After two hours, I had a fully functional iPhone 4S with a brand new screen.
My Advice
TAKE YOUR TIME! Perform the repair in a well-lit area. It helped to separate the components from each step (screws, camera, vibrator, etc.) into numbered cups of an egg carton. Again, take your time, and be careful: the screws are seriously tiny! You do NOT want to drop one.
