My Problem

Battery was old and needed to be replaced.

My Fix

It was a pain to open the iPod even with the tools. Battery was really stuck and the forceful prying worried me. A small plastic part fell out when the case opened - I finally saw a similar part in the iPod and put it where it seemed logical - appeared to be a shield for some component. All in all the process went well.

My Advice

The video was not a video but a series of photos. The photos were a big help but more detailed information and photos should be added to help with the ribbon connection back into the iPod. I watched a few other videos and they explained the process better which was a help to me.
