2009 Apple Macbook Pro made new again

My Problem

My hard Drive (HDD) died so I looked online to price selling my old laptop and buying a new one to replace it Wow only worth $230.00 and a new one over $2,000 so decided to put a 1TB Solid State Drive (SSD) as the replacement main drive worked great but didn't want EVERYTHING

on one drive and there was no second bay for another drive. I went online and found this perfect solution replacement for the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) so bought another 1TB SSD drive and used this product to install it.

My Fix

WOW, WOW & WOW, my 6 year old laptop blisters I put Photoshop CS6 Master Collection on it and it will boot it up in 3 seconds, I now have two terabytes of storage on my 15" 2009 Apple Laptop. It took some time as I went very slowly step by step following the perfect instructions that were posted on the Ifixit site This was the PERFECT solution and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I wouldn't trade my ALL NEW & IMPROVED LAPTOP for a new one. SO finally NO this was not a paid response or advertisement but hey guys you want to send me a few bucks go for it!!

My Advice

Ok here's the best advice from my experience. Don't by afraid to do this the advice on the Ifixit site called mine a "Moderate" difficulty deal. If you have access to a second computer or IPAD set it up next to your computer when you start this install and open the step by step guide from the Ifixit site follow each step slowly and carefully read the whole thing BEFORE you start if you don't understand something read it again. take the back off your computer and look at the job at hand with the directions up on another screen so you can visualize doing it. Everything went very smoothly I only had some difficulty with one thing and that was Re-Attaching one of the two cords took me several tries to get it just right to press it into place. The experience was great it was not that difficult if I can do this YOU can do this. FYI I'm 72 years old and certainly not an expert my work is computerized design and sales of kitchen cabinetry.
