My Problem

My iPhone 5 was having real difficulties holding its charge. It would take about an hour to go from 100% to 20%, and if I turned it off with a full charge, it wouldn't turn back on unless I plugged it in. So clearly something needed to be done!

My Fix

The repair went very smoothly. Apart from one of the screws from inside the phone which didn't seem to accept magnetism as part of its world view, making it very difficult to get that tiny screw back in at the end, nothing went wrong, and there was nothing spectacular to report!

My Advice

I've read other comments which already say this, but it's worth reiterating: the battery is stuck on with industrial adhesive and takes some real work to get it off (in some cases). Be patient, take your time and make sure you pay attention to the instructions about where you can "pry" the battery, because there are some areas of the phone that can get damaged if you push, pull or otherwise touch the wrong place.
