My Problem
My son's Macbook battery wouldn't charge, and the green LED on the charger wouldn't light. Swapped it with my battery/charger. No luck! So I ordered the MagSafe board from ifixit.
My Fix
Followed the detailed directions. They are truly a time-saver!
Taking it apart was easy. (But isn't it always?)
Putting it back together was pretty easy, too. AWESOME!
Unfortunately, the part didn't fix the problem.
My Advice
A couple quick tips:
ORGANIZE YOUR SCREWS! I grabbed a big fridge magnet and put the screws on it grouped together and carefully noted where each set came from.
DON'T REMOVE THE KEYBOARD! I just carefully slid it forward about 2" once I popped it out. Gave me access to the MagSage connector without fussing with the delicate keyboard connection.
THANKS MAGNETIC SCREWDRIVER! Don't think I could have put this back together without a magnetized phillips screwdriver bit.
