My Problem
We had an iPhone 5 with broken front glass, we bought the kit for my very excited and impatient daughter so that she could inherit the phone from us.
My Fix
We bought the entire lcd/home-button-camera assembly and repair kit, and following the instructions was easy. I am really happy that iFixit specializes in providing turn-key repair kits that turn otherwise expensive iPhone repairs into cost-effective self-repair projects. We were able to complete the repair in under 20 minutes even with taking our time to be careful.
My Advice
The most difficult part of the repair was a) using the suction cup to release the glass from the integrated clips, and b) closing the new glass back into the clips after reconnecting it. Both operations required a bit more pressure than was comfortable for me. Be very patient and cautious during these steps.
