My Problem

Dead hard drive in a 23" iMac

My Fix

It took me about 20 minutes. But, I am a stickler for perfection. Nothing exploded. Nothing imploded. There were no extra parts when I was finished. Opening up an iMac is both thrilling and terrifying! :)

My Advice

I didn't need the spudger at all, as recommended. I'm glad I had it and didn't need it instead of not having it and needing one. On the video, it would be infinitely more helpful if the shot showing what "wire" need to be disconnected was a wider shot so you can actually see what, and where, the wires to be disconnected are. That was pretty much a guessing game. Guessing on a machine like that can be a little scary until you put it all back together and...WHEW!...it works!
