getting rid of dust inside retina macbook pro 15inch

jttp1103 -

My Problem

after 2 years of usage, the macbook have been accumulating dust inside the unit, and it was causing the device to not being able to cool properly, as the thick layer of dust have been semi blocking some air passage and also covering the circuit board acting as a layer of insulation which prevents heat from escaping, if some circuit board like the graphics card were allow to over heat, it could cause damage.

My Fix

with the pentalobe p5 screw driver I was able to unscrew the macbook casing with ease, I was able to access and clean the inside of the macbook properly.

My Advice

I would recommend using a vacuum cleaner and a brush to clean the inside, so the dust can be sucked away and your macbook be cleaned efficiently, but do handle with care, and do not put the vacuum hose too close to the circuit board incase you accidentally break something on the circuit board and get sucked away, also take this advice at your own risk as some people claims the vacuum cleaner could statically zap the circuit board altho it didn't happen to me, so if you mange to break your macbook I do not take any responsibility, but you can choose to use this advice if you think it's great otherwise just don't use it.
