My Problem
There were grey bands at the top and bottom of the display, and the lower part of the display had erratic operation.
My Fix
Eazy Peazy repair. The hardest part is getting the front display out of the metal case with suction cups. Once inside only three screws to remove/replace. Great replacement part.
My Advice
Be sure to spend the extra $10 anad get the display that has the home button and front camera stuff pre installed. It is not worth the hassle transferring them for this small premium. The hardest part is getting the old screen out of the metal case with suction cups. You have to "brace" your muscles, so when it comes free you don't rip things really apart. The double suction cup tool would be great if you are going to do this routinely. Tips: Dust off the three screen connectors with a stiff artists brush to get any debris and/or dust out of the connectors. Be sure to properly seat the rear camera before installing the new display. This was a 8 minute job for me from start to finish, but I have been inside an iPhone 5 twice before.
