My Problem
I have had my iphone 4 for 3-4 years and the battery would not make it thru the day even if I didn't really use it. After a little research (and amazed my battery lasted as long as it did) a replacement was due.
My Fix
Please read other stories here because they did help me. I backed up my phone first, just in case. I would add, have a magnifying glass handy. I have good eyesight but these bits and pieces are tiny. Watch the video and make sure to get the tool kit with it. First go round nothing happened when I tried to restart, second go I reattached the battery connection as "pins" were not aligned right.
My Advice
OMG I felt so empowered and I LOVE saving money. My phone works better now too. It was dragging loading apps., etc. I really didn't want a new phone right now, which of course, friends said "Just get a new phone". Thank you so much for this site/service. I am telling everyone I know about my experience and iFixit.
