My Problem

The problem was that the original battery could no longer hold a charge, was expanding within the Unibody and the computer could not function without being plugged into an outlet.

My Fix

I checked out local shops anticipating that they would not have a specific battery such as the one for the Mac pro on hand, but tried anyways. Searched the web for a day and came across iFixit. I was a bit hesitant, but I was in dire need. iFixit made it super easy. I watched the video, they provided the necessary materials list for purchase at a reasonable price in terms of convenience and ease. As mentioned earlier, I needed the battery soon, so I forked over the 2 day mail fee and received it on time as was predicted. The battery swap was quick and mess free. Now, the computer works great!

My Advice

iFixit was super helpful and I would stronger consider them if you're trying to fix something yourself. Do a bit of research first on what your looking for and then weigh your options. In my case, this was the most idle situation.
