MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2009 Trackpad Replacement

15 - 30 minutes

Moderate

My Problem

A person wiped off the dirty track pad with a cloth sprayed with some cleaner -- and something got into the pad and it stopped working. Even after days of drying the cursor moved erratically.

My Fix

I followed the instructions and used the Spudger and the Tri-Wing screwdriver - and a Phillips 00 that I own. No problems at all and the computer is now working fine. I did use a grounding cable to keep down static.

My Advice

Download the guide and follow the steps. Get the tools- you cannot do the job without them.
