My Problem
My phone wouldn't hold a charge. It would go from 100% battery life to zero charge. I took the case off and saw the back cover was bulging open on the corner opposite the camera lens.
My Fix
My boyfriend watched the Ifixit video on replacing the battery.
We ordered the replacement kit the video recommended. We ordered it on Monday morning and received it in the mail Saturday (shipped from CA to OH). He replaced the battery according to the video and my IPhone is working good as new, no more bulging case. The process took less than 30 minutes.
My Advice
Saved a lot of money by following the Ifixit video. Didn't realize how easy it could be. Before ordering replacement battery we called the Verizon store and was told they didn't sell or replace batteries. I could buy a new IPhone and if mine was in good shape (iPhone 4), they might give me $18. My phone is in excellent shape and I will keep it, thank you!
