My Problem

Broken screen

My Fix

Followed the step by step guide, used and empty egg box to hold the parts labeling each slot that contained a part with the step number in the guide. This made it easier to locate the correct part when reassembling the iPhone. Used a piece of masking tape on a step that had 5 small screws of different sizes. Just laid the screw on the tape with the approx. placement on the iPhone to make it easier to use the correct screw when reassembling.

My Advice

1. Careful with the placement of the camera, Took a photo with the correct way to reassemble for this one seemed a bit confusing.

2. When removing the broken glass it is imperative to clean the area surrounding where the screen sits on the iPhone's frame. When placing the new screen the part did not seat flush with the frame. Noticed the issue was with small leftover pieces of glass from the broken screen on the frame.

3. Take it slow, this repair is very doable if you just take your time.
