HD Ribbon Cable

My Problem

I was on my computer one day and my computer stopped seeing my internal drive while in use. Having seen this issue with my moms Mac, I assumes it was the drive itself, but upon using a backup drive to check, I saw that it was the hd ribbon cable

My Fix

The repair was fairly easy, the only issue I ran in to was that one of the screws for the cable itself stripped due to using the wrong driver size, so I made sure to change it before the next one.

My Advice

Keep old drives on hand to make sure that your drive isn't bad.
