My Problem
After a little over 2 years, my iPhone 5 would not maintain a charge for a full day. The battery indicator would go from 90% to 80% to 70, 60, 50% but when the indication went to 40%, it would drop almost immediately to 0 and shut down.
My Fix
I bought the new battery/iPhone tool kit combo. I already had a magnetic screw tray and large magnifier. These also proved very useful. I set up next to my PC and watched the iFixit video several times. I then ran the video and did a step, ran it farther and did another. The job was done in 1/2 hour. I could have done it faster but worked slowly.
My Advice
Watch the iFixit video and also read the instructions. They complement each other. Also have a magnifying glass or similar handy.
