My Fix
This was my first attempt at any sort of device repair but I saw the ifixit video and thought what the heck, why spend $100 for a YLOD repair when I can do it myself. Loooooooong story short I got the initial problem fixed only to realize the bluray disc drive needs to be repaired or replaced because it won't load or eject discs. I reset the disc drive and still no luck.
My Advice
Be prepared to take it apart all over again and definitely use a screw tray or post it notes with where you removed said screws from. Tenacity pays off!
